These X-frame vehicles with their two piece drive shafts, present special challenges for Hot Rodders wishing to install a Th-700R4 Overdrive Transmission. Our cross members are designed to directly bolt in using the original frame mounts. The use of .120 wall thickness steel tubing construction allows easy installation and correct positioning without modification to the frame members. No modifications are required to the floor pan or transmission tunnel. Front section of the drive shaft will need to be shortened. Kit includes a new rubber transmission mount (insulator) and bolts.
